This type of thermometer also integrates the TTL/SLR built-in lighting aiming system.A visible light illuminates the precise target area being measured.The detector pattern is designed to see the exact dimensions, locations and textures on the target object, thus providing a three-dimensional target measurement method.The lighting system uses a safe light emitting diode instead of a laser.The measured temperature is displayed on the digital LCD display on the rear panel of the thermometer.

The end user can choose to measure the target infrared temperature, the surrounding dry ball air temperature, or the difference between the two.
