Water body sedimentation monitoring instrument—SediMeter
Date:2017-04-21 13:17:29
The water body sedimentation monitoring device SediMeter is used to measure and monitor subtle changes in sedimentation, erosion, siltation, erosion and resuspension of the water bottom. It uses 36 near-infrared optical backscatter sensors to measure turbidity gradient changes and bottom elevation in the 35cm vertical direction. The resolution of 10 μm makes it possible to monitor subtle changes, such as bottom sand movement.100g/m2The subtle settlement effect of the slightest settlement can also be monitored.

When measuring, insert the measuring rod vertically into the sediment for measurement.Since the near-infrared detector is used, the influence of ambient light can be effectively avoided. When the backscatter detector is buried in the sediment, the signal of this detector reaches 100%.When the backscatter detector is far from the surface of the deposit, the signal is a function of turbidity. At this time, the height of the water bed can be detected very accurately, even if slight fluctuations (such as 10μm deposition or erosion) can be detected.

The water deposition monitoring device is also equipped with a temperature sensor with an accuracy of 0.01℃.In addition, pressure and PAR sensors are optional.

How to deploy SediMeter

In soft mud or sandy bottoms, SediMeter can be placed in sediments on the bottom of the water using its own configuration accessories. For harder bottoms, users can design matching fixed frames or permanent bases to place them.Use the accessories provided by the instrument to place the SediMeter in only three steps: (1) Sediment driller fixes the bracket to the water bed, (2) Take out the handle and insert the SediMeter sensor, (3) Unscrew the transparent jacket protective tube to makeThe instrument is exposed.

Use stand-alone: SediMeter has built-in data collector and rechargeable battery. The instrument will be recycled after use or memory is full, and the computer can be downloaded by cables. If a water surface float relay station is configured, the cable can be connected to the float, and the float can be used. The data collector on the data does not need to remove the instrument from the bottom of the water; if the buoy is configured with a wireless cat, you can download data wirelessly between the buoy and SediMeter without connecting a cable.

Real-time data transmission: SediMeter can be used as a sensor, connected to computers or other digital cables through the RS485 communication cable, for real-time monitoring.

Multi-machine network: Multiple SediMeters can be connected through a cable, and the data of the SediMeters can be controlled and downloaded using a digital or computer terminal to build a real-time monitoring network, and at the same time monitor the changes in sediments at hundreds of locations.

Telemetry system: Use SediLink to replace part of the data cable, connect the SediMeter or multi-machine network to SediLink. SediLink agrees to receive data, and then transmits the data to the user via radio. The transmission distance varies according to different configurations, and the number can reach the farthestkilometer.

software

SediMeter software is used for instrument setup, data download, data post-processing and real-time monitoring (up to 255 SediMeters simultaneously).Under real-time monitoring conditions, users can be reminded by sound and email when obvious erosion, deposition and turbidity changes occur.
