Main functions

4.png

According to the Beer rule of canopy absorption, Wood's SunScan canopy analysis equation, and Campbell's elliptical foliar angle distribution equation, a photoquantum sensor is used to measure, calculate and analyze the photosynthetic effective radiation and leaf area index of intercepted and penetrated by plant canopy (LAI), while delineating the distribution map of crop canopy PAR.Valuable information about limiting factors affecting field crop growth is provided by measuring crop canopy PAR values.

Purchase Guide

Configuration Type

Features and advantages

SS1-COM full version

Complete system package, including SunScan probe, SunData software, RPDA2 data acquisition terminal, BF5 sensor, tripod, operating disc, connecting cable and transport box

Provides a complete and powerful canopy analysis tool that can calculate LAI on the fly, measure PAR manually or automatically, and measure direct sunlight spots.

SS1-COM-R4 wireless version

Contains SunScan probe, SunData software, RPDA2 data acquisition terminal, BF5 sensor, SunScan wireless module, tripod, operating disc and transport box

Wireless data transmission between the SunScan probe and the BF5 sensor, with wireless control distance of 100 to 200 meters, especially suitable for high canopy plants or measurements with a larger range of use.

SS1-STD3 Standard Edition

Contains SunScan probe, SunData software, and RPDA2 data acquisition terminal

It is cheap and has the function of a standard system, but it is troublesome to operate. It requires the use of a SunScan probe to measure the light up and down twice, and requires stable weather conditions.
