The BIC radiometer from BioGlobe Instruments is a concentrated version of the well-known PUV/GUV and PRR instrument systems.BIC SeriesUsed for measurementCosine radiation.include3 single wavelength and photosynthetic effective radiation (PAR, 400-700 nm).The wavelength can be selected from 305 nm of UVB to 875 nm near the near infrared region.The photodetector of BIC is made of Teflon, which can ensure the accuracy of long-term work.BICs can provide underwater sensors and surface sensors.

An underwater BIC with integrated temperature and pressure sensors (optional) works with a corresponding surface BIC that provides a vertical profile of solar radiation within a water depth of 100 m.

The BIC is very lightweight and its dynamic range (greater than 5 levels) design can meet the needs of different underwater working environments.

The BIC itself does not require a battery!After the BIC is connected to the computer, all data collection tasks are carried out through the computer.Work with LOGGER software based on Windows operating system.

Data acquisition and communication

The BIC uses the serial port (RS-232) to directly connect to the PC or digital cable.The output signal of the photodetector is converted by 24-bit A/D and is quickly transmitted to the computer in binary.Using a serial port, data of 9 different BIC or BIS sensors can be obtained simultaneously. At this time, a DSM-2100 digital signal multiplexer is required.

This system consumes very low power, with power consumption of less than 2 mA per channel.A BIC or BIS consumes less than 12 mA.

Sensitivity and dynamic range

Noise equivalent irradiance is 10-6withoutECM-2yes-1.The maximum irradiance in the air is generally 0.45withoutECM-2yes-1.The dynamic range that the instrument has is affected by the measured wavelength and the average time of the data acquisition system.When data is collected directly without evenly, the instrument has a dynamic range of 5 levels; when the average data time is 10 s, the instrument has a dynamic range of 6 levels.
